  • Do we need to be Catholic to attend Divine Redeemer School?
    No. Divine Redeemer School welcomes students of all faiths.
  • When may I apply to Divine Redeemer School for the upcoming school year?
    Enrollment for the current and upcoming school year is currently open and applications are available online. We will continue to accept applications as space allows.
  • What is the age cutoff for admission?
    Students MUST be 4 years of by September 1st to be considered for admission into K4. Students MUST be 5 years old by September 1st to be considered for admission into Kindergarten. Students MUST be 6 years old by September 1st to be considered for admission into First Grade.
  • Does the school offer tuition assistance?
    Yes. Tuition assistance is available to all students. The amount awarded to each student will depend on need and funds available. The process will begin by completing a financial aid questionnaire. For more information, please contact our office or email admissions@drcs.co
  • What are the school hours?
    Students can be dropped off beginning at 7:40am. School starts for all students at 7:55am sharp. Dismissal begins at 3:10pm. Half days are available for K4 students. Extended care is available each day until 5:30pm. School office hours are from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
  • Is extended care available?
    Yes, extended care is available after school until 5:30pm each day. This program may be used on a regular, full time basis or a drop-in basis. Nominal fees will apply.
  • Does the school offer hot lunch?
    Yes, the school offers a hot lunch program 5 days/week. Food is prepared in our own kitchen and includes protein, fruit and vegetables to guarantee a balanced and nutritious meal. Students may purchase lunch everyday or on select days. We are unable to offer free or reduced lunch program at this time.
  • How many students are in each classroom?
    Class sizes are kept deliberately small. Smaller class sizes foster the feeling of community, enable students to find their voice, and allow for teachers to tailor their instruction to meet the needs of the students.
  • What is your homework policy?
    Homework assignments will vary and should be suitable to the particular grade level of the student. Students should expect approximately 10-20 minutes of homework assigned per grade level.
  • Does the school offer scholarships?
    Yes – we participate in the South Carolina First Steps program and the South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund. The school also accepts the Exceptional SC Scholarship or Tuition Tax Credit.
  • What electives do you offer?
    Students receive instruction in Religion, Spanish, STEM, PE, Music, and Art.
  • Does the school participate in standardized testing?
    The school uses MAP testing to measure student progress throughout the year. MAP, or the Measure of Academic Progress, is computerized testing and is administered three times per year. More information can be found at www.nwea.org.
  • What is your bullying policy?
    Students are constantly taught to treat each other with kindness and respect. These concepts, and many more, are reinforced through our Virtues in Practice program. Typically, when issues arise, students will be sent to the principal’s office and parents will be notified. The second time will result in a parent conference, and the third time will result in suspension. However, there may be situations that require different disciplinary actions to be taken. These will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • What clubs or extracurricular activities are offered?
    Depending on interest levels, we may offer Yearbook Club, Garden Club, Rosary Club, Drama Club, Archery, Robotics, Chess Club, Fitness Club, Sports Club, Art Club, Basketball, and Soccer.
